Giving Tuesday 2020 – Catlin Gabel School

Challenges

Giving Tuesday continues to grow as one of the biggest days of charitable giving each year. That said, in 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic was fully raging, and Catlin Gabel School wasn’t sure how the day of giving was going to go. At the time, students were learning remotely, which caused significant strain on the teaching staff and families.

Solutions

A series of e-appeals and videos encouraged giving towards tangible improvements that were already in process – and easier to do – while students were off-campus. Preparing for the eventual return of students inspired hope in the donors, with total donations surpassing those of both 2018 and 2019.
